5 Essential Skills that Every Assistant and Intern Needs to Know!!

Now this is just my opinion, but here a list of five things you have to know how to do in order to run a successful photo shoppe.
- Learn how to iron, first off, it’s a hot metal plate and some woven cotton – it’s not rocket science, but beyond that not everyone can afford a $600/day wardrobe stylist – you’ll be doing it yourself, you might too want to learn how to reattach a button, these things happen.
- Learn how to paint, not like Picaso, like Home DePot – that white wall really needs painted at least once a month
- Learn how to bite your tongue, people say things that are less than intelligent more often than not, find the grace and poise to keep your mouth shut.
- Learn how to clean the bathroom, I’m not talking toothbrush in the grout, but yes the toilet bowl needs to be clean and there need to be paper towels, before every shoot.
- Learn how to be on time, we’re not running a train line here so if you’re 10 minutes late, whatever but anymore than that you need to call somebody.

Ok, for the record, I’ve never made anyone clean the bathroom. It just sounded good in the middle of my rant there.
