Quick Note about Post Production Styling

August 11th, 2009 by Kris

We’re super busy over here this week with 4 shoots and 2 client presentations, but I did want to drop this little note about processing an image post. As much bad press as “fixing it” in photoshop has gotten, sometimes it’s the only way to achive a look or in some cases “save” an image. Take a quick look at these before and after shots…

I think this a very cool image, it’s moody and a bit scary. After all Big John here does want to go into doing some horror films! After looking at this for a few minutes, I asked myself – if I was a horror film director would I hire this guy? So, I pulled it into photoshop and started playing with gradients, layers, and all that photoshop stuff and came up with this:

Now, I’m not going to go into all of what I did to make this image look like this, but I just want to illusrate that sometimes a good image can be made even better with a little post prodution! Now go dig up a shot or two that you were never 100% on and try touching it up a little!!
